Italian thistle honey – a very special delicacy
Honey connoisseurs know exactly what to look for when they buy thistle honey – and our honey lives up to those expectations. Thistle honey is a rare honey variety that adds a finishing touch to any drink or dish.
Wild thistles grow in large numbers in Sardinia, for example, where almost all the sheep pastures are dotted with them.
We source this unique thistle honey directly from Sardinia as well as from regional, supra-regional and natural locations of our partner beekeepers in Italy – a rare Italian honey with a character all its own.

Storage, Tips, and Shelf Life
Storage, Tips, and Shelf Life
Storage:
Store at room temperature to keep it at its best.
Tips:
If you buy thistle honey and don’t need it right away, put it in the freezer (not the fridge) to keep it liquid. The cold slows down molecular movement so much that no sugar crystals can form. For example, if you put a liquid honey that would normally crystallize after 3 weeks into the freezer and take it out again a year later, it will still be liquid. Its composition and quality are preserved. To make crystallized honey liquid again, we recommend placing the jar in a water bath at around 40 °C. After a few minutes, your honey will have regained its original consistency.
This very popular honey crystallizes firmly after approx. 3–4 weeks.
Shelf life:
approx. 2 years

MfG Fateha
